The Weather of this place is superb. Prevailing ocean breezes keep the temperature easy year around. Here the temperature is usually in the low 80s, only rarely getting in to the high 80s during the month of Aug and Sept.
The regular rainfall is 100 inches a year which helps keep the island green and emerald. Guanaja’s rainy season generally starts around Oct and lasts until Dec or Jan.
This is part of the second largest coral reef in the world and it ends here on the island of Guanaja, which creates a beautiful setting for diving and snorkeling. On the island you can find coral reefs in the north and south that are personalize for wall diving, deep diving, caves, mazes and fish abundance. On the south side stand more sponges. They are so big they cannot be embraced with human arms and the ones farther down are much larger.
These are called, gorgonians elcorns, gorgonians, parasol, fan, alcorns, brain coral and many more.
